My name is Imran Hussain and I’m a Fractional CFO, NED and Entrepreneur. 

I have worked in the accounting industry, within start-ups and SME’s since 2001.

Since 2016 I have been a Fractional CFO, helping start-ups and SME’s raise funds, turnaround their distressed business, manage the finance function, add liquidity for shareholders of private limited companies, scale their businesses whilst balancing cash flow, etc.

Since 2023, I have been advising businesses on M&A transactions, structuring deals, sourcing M&A targets, facilitating negotiations and doing the financial due diligence on transactions.

Since 2025, I have been an active NED sitting on three boards, helping the organisations monetise their product, helping raise funds, helping to expand internationally, being the finance expert on the board, mentoring c-suites and acting as the sounding board for executives.

In my spare time, I enjoy the creative arts, such as improv, clowning, acting and creative writing. I have a deep-rooted desire to do a stand-up gig, but haven’t had the guts to put something together, yet! I’m working my way up to it. I also love to read non-fiction books, and I am fond of, and exploring the Classical Greek and Roman era.

One of my favourite interests is to learn, this is formal as well as informal learning. What I mean by informal leaning, is the ability to read and to talk to people and learn from them. I especially like talking to people and learning about their lives, their stories and their interests; anything and everything about people fascinates me!
